Congressional Hearing Examples:
Opening statement: This is an opening statement made by previous Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld on the death of green baret Pat Tillman, former NFL star who walked away from the league after 9/11 to fight terrorists.

Defense: This is an example of how at a congressional hearing, those on record are questioned by members of Congress sitting on the panel. In this case, the congressional hearing is investigating the BP oil spill that happened in the Gulf of Mexico in 2010. Here, the man being questioned is using facts about what happened to defend his company, while you will be using precedent court cases to defend your position.
